Title: Preparation of Accounts and Balance-sheet

(1) The balance-sheet and accounts of the Exim Bank shall be prepared in such form and manner as may be prescribed. (2) The Board shall cause the books and accounts of the Exim Bank to be closed and balanced as on the 31st day of December 1[or such other date 2in each year as the Central Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, specify.] 3[Provided that with a view to facilitating the transition from one period of accounting to another period of accounting under this sub-section, the Central Government may, by order published in the official Gazette, make such provisions as it considers necessary or expedient for the closing and balancing of, or for other matters relating, to the books or accounts in respect of the concerned years.] ________________________ 1. (1) the balance-sheet and accounts of the National Bank shall be prepared and maintained in such form and manner as may be prescribed. .....anything necessary for the proper discharge of his duties; and (c) exercise such other powers as may be prescribed, SECTION 09: ANNUAL REPORT OF ACTIVITIES FINANCED UNDER THIS ACT The Central Government shall, as soon as may be, after the end of each financial year, cause to be published in the Official Gazette, a report giving an account of the activities financed under this Act during the financial year, together with a statement of accounts. SECTION 10: POWER TO CALL FOR INFORMATION The Central Government may require a producer to furnish, for the purposes of this Act, such satisfied and other information in such form and within such period as may be prescribed. THE SIKKIM NATIONALISED TRANSPORT (PREVENTION OF TICKETLESS TRAVEL AND MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT 1981 ACT NO. 10 OF 1981 AN ACT to provide for prevention of ticketless travel in, and carriage of goods by, the Sikkim Nationalised Transport and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. {30th September, 1981) Be it enacted by the Legislature of Sikkim in the Thirty-second Year of the Republic of India as follows: Short title, extent and commencement. 1. (1) This Act may be called the Sikkim Nationalised Transport (Prevention of Ticketless travel and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1981. (2) It extends to the whole of Sikkim. .....in case they had called for any explanation or information from the Board or any officer or other employee of the Exim Bank whether it has been given and whether it is satisfactory. (5) The Exim Bank shall furnish to the Central Government within four months from the date on which its accounts are closed and balanced, a copy of its balance-sheet and accounts together with a copy of the auditor's report of the working of the Exim Bank during the relevant year, and the Central Government shall, as soon as may be, after they are received by it, cause the same to be laid before each House of Parliament. (6) Without prejudice to anything contained in the preceding sub-sections, the Central Government may, at any time, appoint the Comptroller and Auditor-General of India to examine and report upon the accounts of the Exim Bank and any expenditure incurred by him in connection with such examination and report shall be payable by the Exim Bank to the Comptroller and Auditor-General of India. Section 25 - Saving Save as otherwise provided in sub-section (4) of section 19, nothing contained in this Chapter shall apply to the Export Development Fund.
