.....Explanation III. "Secondary Education" shall have the same meaning as in clause (1) of section 2 of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education Act (West Ben. Act V of 1963.), 1963. Explanation IV. "Higher Secondary Education" shall have the same meaning as in clause (d) of section 2 of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education Act (West Ben. Act VIII of 1975.), 1975; (n) "School authority", in relation to a school, means the governing body, managing committee, ad hoc committee, administrator or any other body, by whatever name it is called, which is charged with the management of the affairs of the school; (o) "State Government" means the Government of West Bengal in the School Education Department; (p) "teacher" means an Assistant Teacher or any other person, holding a teaching post in a school on a regular and whole-time basis and is paid from the fund under the control of the State Government and includes a Headmaster or a Headmistress; (q) "unaided school" means a recognised unaided school to which no financial assistance has been sanctioned by the State Government; (r) "West Bengal Board of Primary Education" Means the West Bengal Board of Primary.....

.....for the reason of a severe emergency or natural calamity. (b) If the interview is postponed, the selection committee shall forthwith communicate the fact to the District Inspector of Schools and shall obtain his approval (but not his sanction afresh) for holding the interview on any other date. (9) (a) All the candidates who turn up for the interview shall, before the interview, be required by the selection committee to record their attendance on a sheet of paper. (b) The selection committee shall sign on the call letter of every candidate who appeared at the interview and shall, along with every panel, submit to the District Inspector of Schools a certificate to that effect. .....Bengal Legislature received the assent of the Governor and was published in the Kolkata Gazette, Extraordinary, Part 111, No. 2110-L, WEST BENGAL ACT NO. XVIII OF 2005. An Act to manage, control and regulate indiscriminate extraction of ground water in West Bengal and to provide for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. Whereas it is expedient: to manage, control and regulate indiscriminate extraction or use of ground water; And whereas it is further expedient to provide against the widespread contamination of ground water with arsenic, fluoride, iron, other heavy metals or metalloids, organic and inorganic pesticides, fungicides, and rodenticides; It is hereby enacted as follows:- Section 1 Short title, extend and commencement (1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Ground Water Resources (Management, Control and Regulation)Act, 2005. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of West Bengal. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. THE KERALA GROUND WATER (CONTROL AND REGULATION) AMENDMENT ACT, 2005 [1] THE KERALA GROUND WATER (CONTROL AND REGULATION) AMENDMENT ACT, 2005 [1] (ACT 22 OF 2005) An Act to amend the Kerala Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Act, 2002 Preamble.-WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Kerala Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Act, 2002, for the purposes hereinafter appearing; BE it enacted in the Fifty-sixth year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1.Short title and commencement.-This Act may be called the Kerala Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Amendment Act, 2005. (2) It shall come into force at once. 2.Amendment of section 9.-In the Kerala Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Act, 2002 (19 of 2002), for sub section (1) of section 9, the following sub-section shall be substituted namely:- "(1) Every user of ground water in the State shall, within such time as may be notified by the Government in this behalf, apply to the Authority for registration as a user of ground water and for the grant of a certificate of registration.".
