Title : Formation of an Autonomous State Comprising Certain Tribal Areas in Assam and Creation of Local Legislature or Council of Ministers or Both Therefor

Constitution of India Article 4

Title : Laws Made Under Articles 2 and 3 to Provide for the Amendment of the First and the Fourth Schedules and Supplemental, Incidental and Consequential Matters

(1) Any law referred to in article 2 or article 3 shall contain such provisions for the amendment of the First Schedule and the Fourth Schedule as may be necessary to give effect to the provisions of the law and may also contain such supplemental, incidental and consequential provisions (including provisions as to representation in Parliament and in the Legislature or Legislatures of the State or States affected by such law) as Parliament may deem necessary. (2) No such law as aforesaid shall be deemed to be an amendment of this Constitution for the purposes of article 368.

Constitution of India Amending Act 9

Title : The Constitution (Eighty-ninth Amendment) Act, 2003

.....2003. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. 2. Amendment of article 338-- In article 338 of the Constitution,-- (a) for the marginal heading, the following marginal heading shall be substituted, namely:-- "National Commission for Scheduled Castes."; (b) for clauses (1) and (2), the following clauses shall be substituted, namely :-- "(1) There shall be a Commission for the Scheduled Castes to be known as the National Commission for the Scheduled Castes. (2) Subject to the provisions of any law made in this behalf by Parliament, the Commission shall consist of a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson and three other Members and the conditions of service and tenure of office of the Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson and other Members so appointed shall be such as the President may by rule determine."; (c) in clauses (5), (9) and (10), the words "and Scheduled Tribes" wherever they occur, shall be omitted. 3.
