Title: Power of the Central Government to Direct Severance of Inter-connection Between Undertakings

.....anything contained in this Act or in any other law for the time being in force, the Commission may,- (i) upon receiving a complaint of facts from any trade association or from any consumer or a registered consumers' association, whether such consumer is a member of that consumers' association or not, or (ii) upon a reference made to it by the Central Government or a State Government, or (iii) upon its own knowledge or information, if it is of opinion that the continuance of inter-connection of an undertaking (hereafter in this section referred to as the principal undertaking) with any other undertaking is detrimental to- (a) the interests of the principal undertaking; or (b) the future development of the principal undertaking; or (c) the steady growth of the industry to which the principal undertaking pertains; or (d) the public interest, inquire] as to whether it is expedient in the public interest to make an order for the severance of such inter-connection on one or more of the grounds aforesaid, and the Commission may, after such hearing as it thinks fit, report to the Central Government its opinion thereon and shall, where it is of opinion that the.....

Title: Contracts in Connection with Functions of Crown in Its Relations with Indian States

.....in respect of any such contract as aforesaid may be brought by or against the Secretary of State and if at the commencement of Part III of this Act any proceedings in respect of any such contract are pending in the United Kingdom or in India to which the Secretary of State in Council is a party, the Secretary of State shall be deemed to be substituted in those proceedings for the Secretary of State in Council. (3) Any contract made after the commencement of Part III of this Act on behalf of His Majesty solely in connection with the exercise of the said functions of the Crown shall, if it is such a contract as would have been legally enforceable by or against the Secretary of State in Council, belegally enforceable by or against the Secretary of State. (4) Any sums ordered to be paid by the Secretary of State by way ofdebt, damages or casts in any such proceedings as are mentioned in this section and any costs or expenses incurred by him in or in connection with the prosecution or defence thereof shall be deemed to be sums required for the discharge of the functions of the Crown in its relations with Indian States, and any sum received by the Secretary of State by virtue.....

Title: Special Provision for Computing Profits and Gains in Connection with the Business of Exploration, Etc., of Mineral Oils

Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1976 Section 240

Title: Work Connected with the Corporation Sewerage System to Be Done by Licensed Plumber

(1) No person other than a licensed plumber shall execute any work connected with the corporation sewerage system and no person shall permit any such work to be executed except by a licensed plumber: Provided that if, in the opinion of the corporation Engineer, the work is of a trivial nature he may grant permission in writing for the execution of such work by a person other than a licensed plumber. Title: Payment to Director for Loss of Office, Etc., in Connection with Transfer of Undertaking, Property or Shares

.....company by way of compensation for loss of office or as consideration for retirement from office or in connection with such loss or retirement subject to limits or priorities, as may be prescribed. (6) Nothing in this section shall be taken to prejudice the operation of any law requiring disclosure to be made with respect to any payment received under this section or such other like payments made to a director.
