BE it enacted by Parliament in the Sixty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows: Short title and commencement. 1. (1) This Act may be called the Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Act, 2015. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 23rd October, 2015. Amendment of section 2. 2. In the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in section 2, (I) in sub-section (1), (A) for clause (e), the following clause shall be substituted, namely: (e) Court means (i) in the case of an arbitration other than international commercial arbitration, the principal Civil Court of original jurisdiction in a district, and includes the High Court in exercise of its ordinary original civil jurisdiction, having jurisdiction to decide the questions forming the subject-matter of the arbitration if the same had been the subject-matter of a suit, but does not include any Civil Court of a grade inferior to such principal Civil Court, or any Court of Small Causes; (ii) in the.....

Be it enacted by Parliament in the Sixty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows: CHAPTER I PRELIMINARY Short title, extent and commencement. 1. (1) This Act may be called the Commercial Courts, Commercial Division and Commercial Appellate Division of High Courts Act, 2015. (2) It extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir. (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 23rd day of October, 2015. Definitions. 2. Title: Arrest of Person Trying to Leave India or Abscond
