COPYRIGHT ACT, 1957 COPYRIGHT ACT, 1957 [Act No. 14 of Year 1957, dated 4th. June, 1957] An Act to amend and consolidate the law relating to copyright Be it enacted by Parliament in the Eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows: - CHAPTER I: PRELIMINARY SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called the Copyright Act, 1957. (2) It extends to the whole of India. (3) It shall come into force on such date1 as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. Special Marriage Act, 1954 Complete Act

.....being entered in the Marriage Certificate Book by the Marriage Officer, the Certificate shall be deemed to be conclusive evidence of the fact that a marriage under this Act has been solemnized and that all formalities respecting the signatures of witnesses have been complied with.
