THE KERALA CASHEW WORKERS' RELIEF AND WELFARE FUND (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2003 [1] ACT 16 OF 2003 THE KERALA CASHEW WORKERS' RELIEF AND WELFARE FUND (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2003 [1] An Act further to amend the Kerala Cashew Workers' Relief and Welfare Fund Act, 1979. Preamble .-WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Kerala Cashew Workers' Relief and Welfare Fund Act, 1979, for the purposes hereinafter appearing; BE it enacted in the Fifty-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows :- 1. Short title and commencement.-(1) This Act may be called the Kerala Cashew Workers' Relief and Welfare Fund (Amendment) Act, 2003. (2) It shall come into force at once. 2. Amendment of section 5.- In section 5 of the Kerala Cashew Workers' Relief and Welfare Fund Act, 1979 (19 of 1984),- (i) in sub-section (2), for the words "fifty paise" , the words "one rupee" shall be substituted: (ii) for sub-section (3A), the following sub-section shall be substituted, namely:- "(3A) The Government shall contribute to the Fund every year by way of grant an amount equal to the amount of contribution paid by employees under sub-section (2).".
