.....Be it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows:- SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called the Designs Act, 2000 (2) It extends to the whole of India. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint; and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act, and any reference in any such provision to the commencement of this Act shall be construed as a reference to the coming into force of that provision. THE KERALA GENERAL SALES TAX (AMENDMENT ) ACT, 20001 THE KERALA GENERAL SALES TAX (AMENDMENT ) ACT, 20001 (Act 8 of 2000) An Act further to amend the Kerala General Sales Tax Act, 1963. Preamble:•WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Kerala General Sales Tax Act, 1963 (15 of 1963) for the purposes hereinafter appearing; BE it enacted in the Fifty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows:• 1. Short title and commencement.• (1) This Act may be called the Kerala General Sales Tax (Amendment) Act, 2000. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of January, 2000. 2.
