Section 24 - First preparation of register (1) For the purposes of preparing the register of architects for the first time, the Central Government shall, by notification in the Official Gazette, constitute a Registration Tribunal consisting of three persons who have, in the opinion of the Central Government, the knowledge of, or experience in, architecture; and the Registrar appointed under section 12 shall act as Secretary of the Tribunal. (2) The Central Government shall, by the same or a like notification, appoint a date on or before which application for registration, which shall be accompanied by such fee as may be prescribed by rule, shall be made to the Registration Tribunal. (3) The Registration Tribunal shall examine every application received on or before the appointed day and if it is satisfied that the applicant is qualified for registration under section 25, shall direct the entry of the name of the applicant in the register. Title: Preparation and Maintenance of Register

(1) The Central Government shall, as soon as may be, cause to be prepared in the manner hereinafter provided a register of architects for India. (2) The Council shall upon its constitution assume the duty of maintaining the register in accordance with the provisions of this Act. (3) The register shall include the following particulars, namely:-- (a) the full name with date of birth, nationality and residential address of the architect; (b) his qualification for registration, and the date on which he obtained that qualification and the authority which conferred it; (c) the date of his first admission to the register; (d) his professional address; and (e) such further particulars as may be prescribed by rules.

.....AND NON-RECURRING RECEIPTS NOT TO BE INCLUDED IN THE TOTAL INCOME FOR THE ASSESSMENT YEAR 1972-73 - Notwithstanding the amendments made by this Act to the income-tax Act, in computing, in the case of any person, the total income of a previous year relevant to the assessment year commencing on the 1st day of April, 1972, any income falling within clause (3) ofsection 10 of the Income-tax Act-as it stood immediately before the 1st day of April, 1972, shall not be included. SECTION 60: APPLICABILITY OF REVISED RATE OF INTEREST -- For the removal of doubts, it is hereby declared that where interest is payable under " (a)section 139 of the Income-tax Act-or any other provision of that Act referred to insection 25-of this Act: or (b)section 31-orsection 34A of the Wealth-tax Act-: or (c)section 32-orsection 33A of the Gift-tax Act-; or (d)section 18 of the Companies (profits) sur-tax Act-, in respect of any period commencing on or before the 31st day of March, 1972, and ending after that date, such interest shall, in respect of so much of such period as falls after that date, be calculated at the rate of twelve per cent. per annum.
