Section 25 - Amendment of section 55 In section 55 of the State Bank of India (Subsidiary Banks) Act, for the words "Banking Companies Act", the words "Banking Regulation Act" shall be substituted. Section 26 - Amendment of section 63 In section 63 of the State Bank of India (Subsidiary Banks) Act,-- (a) for sub-section (1), the following sub-section shall be substituted, namely:-- "(1) The Board of Directors of a subsidiary bank may, after consultation with the State Bank and with the previous approval of the Reserve Bank, by notification in the Official Gazette, make regulations not inconsistent with this Act and the rules made thereunder, to provide for all matters for which provision is necessary or expedient for the purpose of giving effect to the provisions of this Act or any other law for the time being in force;"; (b) in sub-section (2),-- (i) after clause (f), the following clauses shall be inserted, namely:-- "(fa) the procedure for issuing the certificates of shares; (fb) the procedure with respect to increase, whether by public issue or by preferencial allotment or private placement, the issued capital by issue of equity or preference.....

Title: Amendments to the State Bank of Saurashtra Act, 1950

.....may, with the approval of the Reserve Bank, authorise the Saurashtra Bank to increase or reduce its authorised capital.". Section 3 - Amendment of section 6 In section 6 of the State Bank of Saurashtra Act,-- (a) after sub-section (1), the following sub-section shall be inserted, namely:-- "(1A) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), the issued capital of the Saurashtra Bank, shall consist of such amount as the State Bank may, with the approval of the Reserve Bank, fix, and, shall be divided into fully paid-up shares of such denomination in accordance with sub-section (2) of section 5."; (b) for sub-section (3), the following sub-sections shall be substituted, namely:-- "(3) The Saurashtra Bank may, from time to time, with the approval of the State Bank and the Reserve Bank, increase, whether by public issue or by preferential allotment or private placement in accordance with the procedure as may be specified by regulations made under section 63 of the State Bank of India (Subsidiary Banks) Act, 1959(38 of 1959), its issued capital by issue of equity or preference shares. (3A) The issued capital of the Saurashtra Bank shall consist of equity shares.....

THE KERALA STATE HIGHER EDUCATION COUNCIL ACT, 2007 ACT 22 OF 2007 THE KERALA STATE HIGHER EDUCATION COUNCIL ACT, 2007 An Act to provide for the setting up of the Kerala State Higher Education Council. Preamble .- WHEREAS, it is expedient to establish a State Higher Education Council as a collective of the Government, Universities, academics, experts and people's representatives in order to forge a synergic relationship among them by occupying an operational space in between the Government and Universities and between Universities and apex level regulatory bodies, with the objects of (i) ensuring the autonomy and accountability of all institutions of higher education in the State, (ii) promoting academic excellence and social justice by providing academic input to the State Government for policy formulation and perspective planning, and (iii) guiding the growth of higher education in accordance with the socio-economic requirements of the State ; AND WHEREAS, it is necessary to achieve the above said objectives, to empower this Council to (i) review and co-ordinate the implementation of policies in all higher education institutions in the State including.....

.....The Chairperson, members and employees of the Commission shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code (Central Act 45 of 1860) 16. Power to make rules .-(1) The Government may, by notification in the Gazette, make rules for carrying out the purposes of this Act, either prospectively or retrospectively. (2) In particular, and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing powers, such rules may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely:- (a) salary and allowances payable to, and the other terms and conditions of service of the Chairperson and the members under sub-section (5) of section 4 and of the officers and other employees under sub-section (2) of section 5; (b) the form in which the annual report shall be prepared under clause (d) of section 9; (c) the form, in which the annual statement of accounts shall be maintained under sub-section (1) of section 13; and (d) any other matter which is required to be, or may be, prescribed. (3) Every rule made under this Act, shall be laid, as soon as may be after it is made, before the Legislative Assembly while it is in session for a total period of fourteen days.....

THE SIKKIM STATE AUTHORITY FOR PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT ACT, 2007 THE SIKKIM STATE AUTHORITY FOR PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT ACT, 2007 Beit enacted by the Legislature of Sikkim in the Fifty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows :- CHAPTER I Preliminary Short title, extent and commencement 1 (1). This Act may be called the Sikkim State Authority for Planning and Development Act, 2007. (2) It extends to the whole of Sikkim except the cantonment areas. Explanation I " "cantonment area" means an area within the jurisdiction of a cantonment. Explanation II - "cantonment" has the same meaning as in the Cantonments Act, 1924. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification, appoint. 2 of 1924. Definitions. 2. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires, - (1) "The Advisory Council" means the Advisory Council constituted under section 5; (2) "The Authority" means the Sikkim State Authority for Planning and Development, constituted under section 3; (3) "The Constitution" means the Constitution of India; (4) "The Empowered Executive Committee" means the Empowered Executive Committee constituted under section 4; (5).....
