THE PRIVATE SECURITY AGENCIES (REGULATION) ACT, 2005 THE PRIVATE SECURITY AGENCIES (REGULATION) ACT, 2005 An Act to provide for the regulation of private security agencies and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. Be it enacted by Parliament, in the Fifty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:" SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005. (2) It extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
