Wakf Act, 1995 Complete Act

.....to the commencement of that provision in such State or area. SECTION 02: APPLICATION OF THE ACT Save as otherwise expressly provided under this Act, this Act shall apply to all wakfs whether created before or after the commencement of this Act : Provided that nothing in this Act shall apply to Dargah Khawaja Saheb, Ajmer to whichthe Dargah Khawaja Saheb Act, 1955 (?? of 1955)applies. SECTION 03: DEFINITIONS In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires- (a) "beneficiary" means a person or object for whose benefit a wakf is created and includes religious, pious and charitable objects and any other objects of public utility sanctioned by the Muslim law; (b) "benefit" does not include any benefit which a mutawalli is entitled to claim solely by reason of his being such mutawalli; (c) "Board" means a Board of Wakf established under sub-section (1), or as the case may be, under sub-section (2) of section 13-and shall include a common Wakf Board established under section 106-; (d) "Chief Executive Officer" means the Chief Executive Officer appointed under sub-section (1) of section 23-; (e) "Council" means the Central Wakf Council established under section 9-; (f).....

.....a hotel or a lodging house; (k) "prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act; (l) ''Rent Authority" means an authority appointed under sub-section (1) of section 43 and includes an additional Rent Authority appointed under sub-section (2) of that section; (m) "standard rent", in relation to any premises, means the rent calculated under section 7; (n) "tenant" means any person by whom or on whose account or behalf the rent of any premises is or, but for a special contract, would be payable, and includes-- (i) a sub-tenant; (ii) any person continuing in possession after the termination of his tenancy. but does not include-- (i) any person against whom an order or decree for eviction has been made, except where such decree or order for eviction is liable to be re-opened under the proviso to section 3 of the Delhi Rent Control (Amendment) Act, 1976(18 of 1976); (ii) any person to whom a licenses as defined in section 52 of the Indian Easements Act, 1882 has been granted; (o) "Tribunal" means the Delhi Rent Tribunal established under section 46; (p) "urban area" has the same meaning as in the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, 1957.

Title: The Chief Commissioner and Commissioners for Persons with Disabilities

.....Code (45 of 1860) and the Chief Commissioner, the Commissioner, the competent authority, shall be deemed to be a civil court for the purposes of section 195 and Chapter XXVI of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974). Section 64 - Annual report to be prepared by the Chief Commissioner (1) The Chief Commissioner shall prepare in such form and at such time for each financial year as may be prescribed by the Central Government an annual report giving a full account of his activities during the previous financial year and forward a copy thereof to the Central Government. (2) The Central Government shall cause the annual report to be laid before each House of Parliament along with the recommendations explaining the action taken or proposed to be taken on the recommendation made therein insofar as they relate to the Central Government and the reasons for non-acceptance, if any, of any such recommendation or part.
