THE TRIPURA SECURITY ACT, 2000 THE TRIPURA SECURITY ACT, 2000 An Act To make special provision for the security of the State, maintenance of public order and maintenance of supplies and services essential to the life of the community in the State of Tripura. Whereas it is expedient to make special provision for the security of the State, maintenance of public order and maintenance of supplies and service essential to the life of the community in the State of Tripura and for matters connected with the purpose aforesaid ; Be in enacted by the Tripura Legislative Assembly in the Fifty-first year of the Republic of India as follows:- Short title, Extent, Commencement and duration. 1. (1) This Act may be called the Tripura Security Act, 2000. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Tripura. (3) Itshall be deemed to have come into force on and from the 15th day of August, 2000. (4) This Act shall remain in force up to and inclusive of the 14th day of August, 2005. .....Be it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows:- SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called the Designs Act, 2000 (2) It extends to the whole of India. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint; and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act, and any reference in any such provision to the commencement of this Act shall be construed as a reference to the coming into force of that provision. SECTION 02: DEFINITIONS -In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,- (a) "article" means any article of manufacture and any substance, artificial, or partly artificial and partly natural; and includes any part of an article capable of being made and sold separately; (b) "Controller" means the Controller-General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks referred to inSec.3-; (c) "copyright" means the exclusive right to apply a design to any article in any class in which the design is registered; (d) "design" means only the features of shape, configuration, pattern, ornament or composition.....
