.....of the Committee who fails to attend three consecutive meetings of the Committee, without sufficient cause and without leave of absence, shall ipso facto cease to be a member of the Committee. (3) Any casual vacancy in the office of the elected member of the Committee, whether caused by resignation, death, failure to attend meetings or otherwise, shall, if it occurs within a period of two years from the last date of election, be filled by a by-election conducted in the same manner as a normal election and in any other case by co-option of a person, by the Chairman, to represent the same interest as the person in whose place he is being co-opted represented, and any person so elected or co-opted to fill the vacancy shall hold office until the expiry of the office of the member in whose place he is nominated : Provided that where the remainder of the tenure is less than six months, the Chairman may not fill in the resultant vacancy : Provided further that the provisions of this regulation shall apply mutatis mutandis to the resignation, automatic cessation and filling of casual vacancies in regard to any co-opted member: Provided further that the Vice-Chairman and Secretary of.....

.....rules, unless the conext otherwise requires,- (a) "Committee" means the Central Advisory Committee constituted by the Central Government under sub-section (1) of section 6 of the Equal Remuneration Act, 1976 (25 of 1976)-; (b) "Chairman" means the Chairman of the Committee. RULE 03: COMPOSITION OF THE COMMITTEE The Committee shall consist of not less than ten persons and not more than twenty persons excluding the Chairman, to be nominated by the Central Government, of which one-half shall be women. Nomination shall be made from amongst the representatives of the Central Government, State Government/Union Territory Administrations, Members of Parliament, Employers' Organisations, Employees' Organisations and Non-Governmental Organisations engaged in the study and welfare activities of women labour. The composition of the Committee shall not be invalid for the reason that representative belonging to any of the aforesaid categories has not been included in the Committee. At the time and place mentioned in the notice, the Judge in the presence of the prosecutor and the person accused shall read over the names which first occur in each of the said lists of those merchants and pilots who he has reason to believe are present in Calcutta and capable of attending as jurors at the trial; and shall also propose the name of a master of a merchant ship lying in the Port of Calcutta, whom he deems qualified to serve on such jury If no objection be made and allowed, the persons so nominated shall be the jury to serve at the trial. If the prosecutor or the party accused shall object to any of the persons named as jurors, he shall assign the grounds of his objection and such objection shall forthwith be decided by the Judge. If the objection be allowed, the Judge shall read from the said lists or propose (as the case may be) another name in the place of the one objected to and the person so nominated shall serve on the jury provided no objection to such person be made and allowed as aforesaid.

.....person concerned; (d) when there is a difference of opinion among the members forming the Advisory Board, the opinion of the majority of such members shall be deemed to be the opinion of the Board; (e) a person against whom an order of detention has been made under this Act shall not be entitled to appear by any legal practitioner in any matter connected with the reference to the Advisory Board and the proceedings of the Advisory Board and its report, excepting that part of the report in which the opinion of the Advisory Board is specified, shall be confidential; (f) in every case where the Advisory Board has reported that there is in its opinion sufficient cause for the detention of a person, the appropriate Government may confirm the detention order and continue the detention of the person concerned for such period as it thinks fit and in every case where the Advisory Board has reported that there is in its opinion no sufficient cause for the detention of the person concerned, the appropriate Government shall revoke the detention order and cause the person to be released forthwith.
