.....RECONSTRUCTION (FINANCIAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE POWERS) RULES, 1987 April 2, 1987 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36read with sub-section (1) of section 8 of the Sick Industrial Companies (Special Provisions) Act, 1985 (1 of 1986), and in super session of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs No. GSR 68(E), dated the 28th January, 1987, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such super session, the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely:- RULE 01: SHORT TITLE AND COMMENCEMENT. (1) These rules may be called the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (Financial and Administrative Powers), Rules, 1987. (2) They shall come into force on the date' of their publication in the Official Gazette. RULE 02: DEFINITIONS. In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) "Act" means the Sick Industrial Companies (Special Provisions) Act, 1985 (1 of 1986); (b) "Board" means the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction; (c) "Chairman" means the Chairman of the Board; (d) "Secretary" means the Secretary of the Board.
