.....Orissa Excise (Orissa Amendment) Act, 2000. Insertion of new section 20-A. Bihar and Orissa Act 2 of 1915. 2 . In the Bihar and Orissa Excise Act, 1915, after Section 20, the following section shall be inserted, namely:- Taking over of wholesale trade in foreign liquor and Country liquor. 1 of 1956 "20-A. Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the right to carry on wholesale trade and distribution of foreign liquor and country liquor in the State shall, on and from such date as the State Government may, by notification, appoint, solely vest in the State Government and subject to such rules as may be made in this behalf, an agency of the State Government as may be specified in the said notification or a Corporation established, or incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 and wholly owned and controlled by the State Government for the purpose, shall have the exclusive right and privilege of importing, exporting and carrying on the wholesale trade and distribution of foreign liquor and country liquor in the State onbehalf ofthe State Government for the whole of the State of Orissa, and no other person shall be entitled to any privilege or licence for.....

When the office of a member including the Chairman becomes vacant by his resignation, removal death or otherwise, the vacancy shall be filled up in the same manner in which he was taken. 5. The Chairman of Council shall enjoy the status of a Minister of State of Orissa and shall be entitled to such remuneration and allowances as may be prescribed. 6. The Other members of the Council excluding the Revenue Divisional Commissioner and the Chief Executive Officer, shall be paid such fees.....

.....The Trust may enter into and perform all such contracts as it may consider necessary or expedient for carrying out any of the purposes of this Act. BE it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Orissa in the Fiftieth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- Short title 1 . This Act may be called the Orissa Contingency Fund (Amendment) Act, 1999. Amendment of section 2. Orissa Act 18 of 1967. 2 . In sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Orissa Contingency Fund Act, 1967, for the words "sixty crores of rupees", the words "one hundred forty crores of rupees" shall be substituted.
