THE KARNATAKA FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY ACT, 20021 [ACT, No. 16 of 2002] [27th August, 2002] PREAMBLE An Act to provide for the responsibility of the State Government to ensure fiscal stability and sustainability, and to enhance the scope for improving social and physical infrastructure and human development by achieving sufficient revenue surplus, reducing fiscal deficit and removing impediments to the effective conduct of fiscal policy and prudent debt management through limits on State Government borrowings, debt and deficits, greater transparency in fiscal operations of the State Government and use of a medium-term fiscal framework and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. THE KARNATAKA LOCAL FUND AUTHORITIES FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY ACT, 2003 [ACT NO 41 OF 2003] [5 September, 2003] PREAMBLE An Act to provide for the responsibility of Local Fund Authorities to ensure best practice of financial management of local funds and to enhance the scope for improving social and physical infrastructure and human development by achieving sufficient revenue surplus, ensuring prudent management of public fiscal operations of the Local Funds and use of a medium term fiscal frame work, and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. Whereas it is expedient to provide for the responsibility of Local Fund Authorities to ensure fiscal stability and sustainability and to enhance scope for improving social and physical infrastructure and human development by achieving sufficient revenue surplus, performance enhancement, citizen participation and transparency while removing impediments to the effective conduct of fiscal policy and enabling prudent financial management through appropriate modern systems and with greater transparency in fiscal operations of the Local Funds with the use of a medium--term fiscal frame work, and for matters connected.....

THE FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY AND BUDGET MANAGEMENT ACT, 2003 [Act, No. 39 of 2003] PREAMBLE to provide for the responsibility of the Central Government to ensure inter-generational equity in fiscal management and long-term macro-economic stability by achieving sufficient revenue surplus and removing fiscal impediments in the effective conduct of monetary policy and prudential debt management consistent with fiscal sustainability through limits on the Central Government borrowings, debt and deficits, greater transparency in fiscal operations of the Central Government and conducting fiscal policy in a medium-term framework and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows:--

.....(1) of Section 6 of the Principal Act the following sub-section shall be substituted, namely:-- "6(1) (a) The Minister-in-Charge of the Department of Finance (hereinafter referred to as Minister of Finance) shall review, every quarter, the trends in receipts and expenditure in relation to the budge: estimates and place before the State Legislature, the outcome of such reviews. (b) Fiscal targets mentioned in the Section 3 shall be reviewed atleast twice in a year by the state level committee headed by Chief Secretary of the State as notified under the provisions of the Act" Section 4 - Repeal The Chhattisgarh Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Amendment) Ordinance, 2011 (No. 2 of 2011) is hereby repealed. .....FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY AND BUDGET MANAGEMENT (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2010 [Act No. 03 2010] PREAMBLE An Act t o amend the Jharkhand Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Act, 2007 (Act. 07, 2007) in pursuance of the sanction of the Government of India in the Financial year 2009-10 to borrow market debt up to 4% of the Gross State Domestic Product. Be it enacted by the Legislative of Jharkhand in the Sixty first year of the Republic of India as follows :- Section 1 - Short title extent and commencement (i) This Act may to called the Jharkhand Fiscal Responsibility and Budget management (Amendment) Act, 2010. (ii) It shall extend to the whole of the state of Jharkhand. (iii) It shall come in to force from the date of the notification in official Gazette. Section 2 - Amendment in section 5 (1) (b) of the Jharkhand Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Act, 2007 Section 5 (1) (b) of the Jharkhand Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Act, 2007 is substituted as follows :- "Reducing fiscal deficit to 3% (Three percent) of the estimated Gross State Domestic Product at the end of 31st March 2011". Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Jharkhand in the Sixty third year of the Republic of India as follows:- Section 1 - Short title extent and commencement (i) This Act may be called the Jharkhand Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Amendment) Act, 2012. (ii) It shall extent to the whole of the State of Jharkhand. (iii) It shall come into force from the date of the notification in official Gazette. Section 2 - Amendment in Section 5(1)(a) and 5(1)(b) of the Jharkhand Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Act, 2007 (i) Section 5(1)(a) of the said Act shall be substituted as follows:- "Achieving the targets of Revenue Deficit Nil at the end of 31st March, 2012 and maintaining this till financial year 2014-15." (ii) Section 5(1)(b) of the said Act shall be substituted as follows:- "Reducing Fiscal Deficit to 3% (three percent) of the estimated Gross State.....
