THE KERALA FOREST (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1980 [1] THE KERALA FOREST (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1980 [1] (Act 5 of 1981) An Act further to amend the Kerala Forest Act, 1961 . Preamble.- WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Kerala Forest Act, 1961, for the purposes hereinafter appearing; BE it enacted in the Thirty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short title and commencement .- (1) This Act may be called the Kerala Forest (Amendment) Act, 1980. (2) Section 2 and 3 shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1 st day of June 1980 and the remaining provisions of this Act shall come into force at once. 2. Insertion of new section 12A .-After section 12 of the Kerala Forest Act, 1961 (4 of 1962) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), the following section shall be inserted, namely:- "12A.
