This Act may be called the Mysore Palace (Acquisition and Transfer) Act, 1998. (2) It shall come into force on such 1[date]1 as the State Government may, by notification, appoint, and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of the Act. ____________________ 1. On the appointed day, the Mysore Palace (hereinafter referred to as the Palace) and the right, title and interest of the legal representatives or heirs and transferees in relation to the Palace, shall, by virtue of this Act stand transferred to, and shall vest absolutely in the State Government.
