.....to the areas of the erstwhile Punjab State now merged in Himachal Pradesh after the re-organisation of the Punjab State, published vide Punjab Government notification No. 43-PB-(C)-5811609, dated the 23rd January, 1958, and in exercise of the powers conferred by section 20 of the Press and Registration of Books and Newspapers Act, 1867, the Government, Himachal Pradesh, is pleased to make the following rules, namely :- 1. (i) These rules may be called the Himachal Pradesh Press and Registration of Books and Newspapers Rules, 1971. (ii) They shall come into force at once. 2.
