a) to hold for ransom or reward, or as a shield or hostage; or (b) to facilitate commission of any felony or flightthereafter; or (c) to inflict bodily injury on or to terrorize the victim or another; or (d) to interfere with the performance of any governmental or political function. Before a person is said to have kidnapped a minor, there must be some proof of his having done something which led to removal of the minor from the keeping of his/her guardian. The consent of the minor is immaterial and "taking" would be complete if a minor is taken out of the permission of the father without his consent.--Madan Lal v. Jaswant Singh 1994(28) DRJ 335
