SPECIFIC RELIEF ACT, 1963 SPECIFIC RELIEF ACT, 1963 47 of 1963 An Act to define and amend the law relating to certain kinds of specific relief. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fourteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- PART 0I PRELIMINARY 1) This Act may be called the Specific Relief Act, 1963.

(2) It extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir.

(3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
