a) [a] Sections 27-A to 27-D were inserted by the Press Law Repeal and Amendment Act, 1922 (16 of 1922), S. 6 and Sch. IV. [ No newspaper printed and published in 3 (b) [b] Substituted for "the States" by the Finance Act, 1950 (25 of 1950), S. 11 and Sch. IV (1-4-1950). [India] without conforming to the rules laid down in the (Press and Registration of Books Act, 1867) , shall be transmitted by post.]
