Section Text

a) [a] Inserted by the Indian Post Office (Amendment) Act, 195S (7 of 1958), S. 2(18-3-1958). [ No person shall send by post-

(a) any ticket, proposal or advertisement relating to a lottery; or (b) any other matter descriptive of, or otherwise relating to, a lottery, which is calculated to act as an inducement to persons to participate in that lottery.

Explanation.- In this section, "lottery" does not include a lottery organised or authorised by the Government.]
