3) shall be omitted-A.P. Act 12 of 1968, S. 5 (1-4-1959). Tamil Nadu : In its application to the State of 'Tamil Nadu in relation to minor ports in section 50, omit the sub-section (3).- T. N. Act 19 of 1975. S. 3(4). STATE AMENDMENTS Section 50-A: Andhra Pradesh: In Ch. V of the principal Act, after S. 50, insert the following, namely :- "50-A. Abolition of Port Fund.- The port fund constituted under this Act for the ports in the State of Andhra Pradesh, not being major ports shall, on the commencement of the Indian Ports (Andhra Pradesh Amendment) Act. 1968 stand abolished and the balances to the credit of the said Fund at such commencement shall he credited to the Consolidated Fund of the State". A.P. Act 18 of 1968, S. 6 (1-4-1969). Gujarat: In its application to the State of Gujarat insert the following new section, namely,- "50-A. Abolition of separate part fund account and pilotage account and amendment of certain provisions.- The port fund account and the piloage account kept or maintained under this Act tor each minor port in the Slate of Gujarat shall, on the commencement of the Indian Ports (Gujarat Amendment) Act, 1963. stand abolished, and the balances to the credit of those accounts at such commencement shall, subject to the provisions of the States Reorganisation Act, 1956, and the Bombay Reorganisation Act, I960. he credited to the Consolidated Fund of the State', and accordingly, in relation to the said minor ports-
(1) the provisions of section 36 shall apply with the following modifications, that is to say-
(a) in sub-section ( 1 ). the words "and subject to the control ofthc Government to expend the receipts on any of the objects authorised by this Act" shall be deleted.
(b) sub-sections (2). (4). (5), (a), (b), (c) and (6) shall be deleted.
(c) for the marginal note, the marginal note "power of State Government to appoint officer or body to receive port dues" shall be substituted and (2) Section 37 shall be deleted-by Guj. Act 34 of 1963..S. 2 (10-1-1964). Maharashtra: In its application to the State of Maharashtra, after S. 50 insert the following new section, namely :- "50-A. Abolition of port fund account and pilotage account and appliction of sections 36, 37, 49, and 50 in relation to minor ports in the State of Maharashtra with modifications.- The port fund account and the pilotage account kept or maintained under this Act for each minor port in the State of Maharashtra shall, on the commencement of the Indian Ports (Maharashtra Amendment) Act, 1962, stand abolished; and the balance to the credit of those accounts at such commencement shall, subject to the provisions of the States Reorganisation Act. 1956, and the Bombay Reorganisation Act, 1960. he credited to the Consolidated Fund of the State', and accordingly, the provisions of sections 36, 37, 49 and 50 shall apply in relation to such minor ports with the following modifications, that is to say- ( 1 ) In section 36-
(a) in sub-section ( 1 ). the words 'and subject to the control of the Government to expend the receipts on any of the objects authorised hy this Act' shall be deleted;
(b) sub-sections (2), (4), (5). (5-a), (5-b), (5-c) and (6) shall be deleted;
(c) for the marginal note. 'the marginal note' "power of State Government to appoint officer or body to receive port dues", shall be substituted;

(3) In section 49, in sub-section (2). for the words, brackets and figures and letter "contributions made under section 36, sub-section (5), clause (d)" the words "contributions made by the State Government in that behalt" shall be substituted;

Tamil Nadu: In its application to the State of Tamil Nadu in relation to minor ports after S. 50, insert the following section; namely :- "50-A. Abolition of port-fund.-The port fund constituted under this Act for the ports (other than a major port or the port of Tuticorin) in the State ofTamil Nadu shall, on the commencement of the Indian Ports (Tamil Nadu Amendment) Act, 1975. stand '1 abolished and the balances to the credit of the said fund at such commencemeni I shall be credited to consolidated Fund of the State". T.N. Act 19 of 1975, S. 4.(1) Hospital port-dues shall be applied. as the 3 (a) [a] Substituted for the words "Local Government" by A. 0., 1937 (1-4-1937). [Central Government] may direct, to the support of any such hospital or dispensary as aforesaid, or otherwise for providing sanitary superintendence and medical aid for the shipping in the port in which they are levied and for the seamen belonging to the vessels therein, whether such seamen are ashore or afloat.
(2) The 3 (a) [a] Substituted for the words "Local Government" by A. 0., 1937 (1-4-1937). [Central Government] shall publish annually in the Official Gazette, as soon after the first day of April as may be, an account, for the past financial year, of the sums received as hospital port-dues at each port where such dues are payable, and of the expenditure charged against those receipts.
(3) Such account shall be published as a supplement to the abstract published under (section 36) , sub-section (2)
