1)In S. 37. in its applicalion to A. P.. in suh-section (1). portion beginning with the words "and thereupon all moneys" and ending with the words "any of the ports" shall be omitted.

(2) For sub-.section (2) the following shall be substituted, namely :- ''(2) Where ports are grouped by or under this Act. the State Government may exercise its authority under section 34 as regards all the polls in. the group collectively or as regards any of them separately."-A. P. Act 18 of 1968, S. 3 (1-4-1969). Poiidicherry: In its application to the Union territory of Pondicherry omit S. 37 - Pondi. Act 10 of 1969, S. 3. Tamil Nadu: In its application to the State of Tamil Nadu in relation to minor ports, in section 37,-

(a) in nub-section ( 1 ) omit the portion beginning with the words "and thereupon all moneys" and ending with the words "any of the ports".

(h) for sub-section (2) substitute the following sub-section (2), "(2) Where ports are grouped by or under this Act. the State Government may exercise its authority under section 34 as regards all the ports in the group collectively or as regards any of them separately."-T. N.Act 19 of 1975, S. 3(2).(1) The 3 (a) [a] Substituted for the words "Provincial Government" by A. L. 0., 1950. [State Government] may direct that tor the purposes of the last foregoing section any number of ports 3 (b) [b] Inserted by A. 0., 1937 (1-4-1937). [in the State not being major ports) shall be regarded as constituting a single port, and thereupon all moneys to be credited to the port fund account undersub- section (4) of that section shall form a common port fund account which shall be available for the payment of all expenses incurred for the sake of any of the ports. 3 (c) [c] The proviso was omitted, by A. 0., 1937 (1-4-1937). (2) Where ports are grouped by or under this Act, the following consequences ensue, namely:-

(a) the State Government, in the exercise of its control over expenditure debitable to the common port. fund account of the group, may 3 (d) [d] The words "subject to the control of the Governor-General-in-Council" were omitted, by A. 0., 1937 (1-4-1937). [* * *] make rules with respect to the expenditure of the fund for the sake of the several ports of the group on the objects authorized by this Act 3 (e) [e] The words "and shall cause effect to be given to any directions which the Governor-General-in-Council may deem it necessary to issue with respect to such expenditure'' were omitted by A.O., 1937 (1-4-1937). [* * *]:and (b) the State Government may exercise its authority under (section 34) as regards all the ports in the group collectively or as regards any of them separately.
