Section Text

(1) This Act may be called the¹[***]Indian Lighthouse Act, 1927

(2) It extends to the whole of India [ The words "except Part B States" omitted by the Act 18 of 1953, s.2.].

(3) It shall come into force on such date [ 1st April, 1929, see Gazette of India , 1929, Pt.I.p.96.] as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
