Section Text

a) [a] Substituted for the words "Presidency Magistrate or Magistrate of the first class by Mines (Amendment) Act (42 of 1983), S. 43 (31-5-84). [Metropolitan Magistrate or Judicial Magistrate of the first class] shall try any offence under this Act-which is alleged to have been committed by any owner, agent or manager of a mine or any offence which is by this Act made punishable with imprisonment.
