Repealed by the A.O.1937{See, however, paragraph 4 of the India and Burma (Transitory Provisions) rider, 1937 Section 41 read as follows:"All sums paid for the service of process by Police-officers, and all rewards, forfeitures and penalties or shares of rewards, forfeitures and penalties which by law are payable to informers shall, when e information is laid by a police-officer, be paid into the General Police Fund " }

{So much of section 42 (the portion printed in italics) as relates to the limitation suits. repealed by Act 9 of 1871, section2 and Scheduel I}.
