Section Text

The provisions of sections 64 to 70, both inclusive, of the Indian Penal Code, (45 of 1860) and of sections 386 to 389, both inclusive, of the Code of Criminal Procedure, {See now the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (Act 5 of 1898)}, (10 of 1882.) with respect to fines, shall appeal to penalties and fines imposed under this Act on conviction for Magistrate:

Provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in section 6 of the first-mentioned Code, any person sentenced to fine under section 34 of this Act may be imprisoned in default of payment of such fin for any period not exceeding eight days.
