1.Section 11 omitted by Citizenship Amdt Act, 2003 (6 of 2004). Prior to omission it was read as:

" Every person who is a citizen of a Commonwealth country specified in the First Schedule shall, by virtue of that citizenship, have the status of a Commonwealth citizen of India."
