1. to 7. :- [Rep. [Central Acts.] Act IX of 1894.] PART 3 Civil Jails [Section 8 was inserted by BOm. 23 of 1959, s. 4(2).] [8. Application:- This Act shall apply to Civil Jails in the State of Bombay outside Greater Bombay.] :- There shall be a Civil Jail at the seat of the District Court for each district created under section 3 of Act XIV of 1869 [The Bombay Civil Courts Act, 1869.] [or any corresponding law for the time being in force in any part of the State] : Provided that it shall be in the power of the [The words "Provincial Government" were substituted for the words "Governor in Council" by the Adaptation of Indian Laws Order in Council.] [[This word was substituted for the word "Provincial" by the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950.] [State] Government] to establish civil jails at other convenient places.
