Section Text

(1) This Act may be called the Sugarcane Act, 1934.

1[(2) It extends to the whole of India, except2[the territories which immediately before the 1st November, 1956, were comprised in Part B States].]

(3) This section shall come into force at once; the remaining sections of this Act shall come into force in any3[State] on such date as the3[State Government] may, by notification in the4[Official Gazette], appoint in that behalf.
