ELECTRICITY ACT, 1910 ELECTRICITY ACT, 1910 9 of 1910 An Act to amend the law relating to the supply and use of electrical energy whereas, it is expedient to amend the law relating to the supply and use of electrical energy ; It is hereby enacted as follows :

1) This Act may be called the Indian Electricity Act, 1910. 2[(2) It extends to the whole of India 3[except the State of Jammu and Kashmir].]

(3) It shall come into force on such date4as the Central Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, direct in this behalf.
