Section Text

1) Emigration, for the purpose of unskilled work, shall not be lawful except from the ports of Calcutta, Madras, Bombay, 23 [* * *] Negapatam, Tuticorin and Dhanushkodi, and from 24 [such other ports and such airports] as the Central Government may, by notification 25 [in the Official Gazette, declare to be 24 [ports and airports from which] such emigration is lawful.

(2) The 26 [Central Government] may, by notification in the 26 [Official Gazette,] fix for the purposes of this Act the limits of any port from which such emigration is lawful.
