Section Text

1) This Act may be called the Seeds Act, 1966.

(2) It extends to the whole of India.

(3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint,2and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act, and for different States' or for different areas thereof."Clause 1,- Now that entry 33 in the Concurrent List has been made applicable to the State of Jammu and Kashmir, the Committee are of the view that the provisions of the Bill should be made applicable to that State also. This clause has been amended accordingly." J.C.R.
