Section Text

1) This Act may be called the Preventive Detention Act, 1950. 2[(2) It extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir.]

(3) It shall cease to have effect on the3[31st day of December, 1969], save as respects things done or omitted to be done before that date.
