Section Text

(1) Any registered owner who contravenes the provisions of sub-section (2) of section 16, or section 17 or section 18, any licensed curer1[or dealer] who contravenes the provisions of sub-section (2) of section 16,2[* * *] shall be punishable with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees.

(2) When a registered owner is convicted under this section, the Board may thereafter deduct from any payment to be made under section 34 to such registered owner a sum equal to the value as estimated by the Board of any coffee unlawfully sold by him.
