(1) The Banking Companies (Shares) Act, 1867 (30 & 31 Vict. c. 29), by which contracts for sale of bank shares are void unless the numbers of the shares sold are set forth in the contract; this Act is believed to be a dead letter on the Stock Exchanges, but is in full legal force, Neilson v.
