Dum casta vixerit
Dum casta vixerit (so long as she shall live chaste). In deeds of separation of husband and wife, it is not uncommonly provided that the allowance thereby insured by the husband to the wife shall continue only so long as she shall live a chaste life. This proviso is termed the 'dum casta clause.'
