Motion of thanks, in the Houses of Indian Parliament the motion of thanks is taken up for discussion a few days after the delivery of the Address by the President. The motion is moved by a member and seconded by another member both of whom are selected by the Prime Minister, Practice and Procedure of Parliament, M.N. Kaul and S.L. Shakdher, 5th Edn., 2001, p. 206.
