Learned counsel for the State has filed reply, which is taken on record.
This petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been filed for quashing of FIR No.226 dated 23.08.2010, registered under Sections 406, 498-A and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (for short 'the IPC') registered at Police Station Sector 31 Faridabad, District Faridabad, and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise dated 1.06.2013 arrived at between the parties.
Heard.
Vide order dated 12.05.2014, the parties were directed to appear before the learned trial Court, for getting their statements MANOJ KUMAR201408.21 16:29 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CRM No.M-16052 of 2014 -2- recorded.
In compliance thereof, report of Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Faridabad, dated 02.08.2014, has been received to the effect that the parties have arrived at an out of Court settlement and the said settlement is genuine, without any undue influence and pressure.
In view of the above and the law laid down by Hon'ble the Supreme Court, in 'Gian Singh versus State of Punjab and another', 2012(4) RCR (Criminal) 543, this Court feels that no purpose would be served in keeping the proceedings alive.
