The petitioner is seeking a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to settle the matter/dispute with regard to the crop year 1994-95, which is pending between the petitioner-firm and the respondents.

Consequent upon a dispute between the parties, the matter was referred to the Arbitrator, who passed an Award dated 01.10.2004 (Annexure P- 1) in favour of the respondents for an amount of `4,19,938/- with simple interest at the rate of 15% per annum.

The said Award was challenged by the petitioner by filing a petition before the District Judge, Ferozepur, which was dismissed on 25.07.2009.

Thereafter, he filed FAO No.6697 of 2010 before this Court, which was also dismissed.

The matter is still pending before the Hon'ble Supreme Court.

Now, the petitioner is ready to deposit twice the amount Prasher Ajayawarded by the Arbitrator i.e.twice of `4,19,938/-.
