(ORAL) Petitioner has approached this Court with a grievance that as per the criteria laid down by the respondents for selection to the post of Post Graduate Teacher (Hindi) in pursuance to an advertisement No.1/2012, he is entitled to 56.69 marks in total whereas he has been granted 55.69 marks.
The merit of the last selected candidate in the category of PGT (Hindi).general category, is 56.01.
Since the petitioner has higher marks than the last selected candidate as per his calculations, his name should have been included in the select list.
Counsel contends that liberty may be granted to the petitioner to file a representation to the Secretary, Haryana School Teacher Selection Board, Panchkula-respondent No.3, highlighting this error, which has occurred in the calculation of the marks of the petitioner and he will also Khurmi Rakesh 2014.05.30 19:05 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CIVIL WRIT PETITION NO.11609 OF2014:{ 2 }: demonstrate his entitlement and the marks, which have been given to him.
He states that the said representation shall be filed within a period of two weeks from today, which may be directed to be considered and decided within some specified time.
In view of the statement made by the counsel for the petitioner and without going into the merit of the case or commenting thereon, the present writ petition is disposed of with directions to the Secretary, Haryana School Teacher Selection Board, Panchkula-respondent No.3 that if a representation is filed by the petitioner within the stipulated time, the same shall be considered and decided by him by passing a speaking order within a period of two weeks from the date of submission of the representation.
Decision so taken be conveyed to the petitioner.
In case the claim of the petitioner is accepted, respondent No.3 shall take further steps in accordance with law.
