(Oral) : The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C.seeking direction to respondents No.1 to 4 to provide protection to life and liberty to the petitioners at the hands of respondents No.5 to 9.

It has been averred that the date of birth of petitioner No.1 is 26.10.1990 and date of birth of petitioner No.2 is 09.08.1980 and Birth Certificate of petitioner No.1 and Driving Licence of petitioner No.2 to this effect are attached as Annexure P-1 and P-2, respectively.

It has been submitted that marriage of the petitioners was solemnized on 16.04.2014 according to Sikh rites and ceremonies at Gurudwara Akalgarh Sahib, village Karor Kalan, Tehsil and District SAS Nagar Mohali.
The certificate and photographs of marriage are attached as Annexures P-3 Sharma Jyoti 2014.04.17 17:41 and I attest to the accuracy and P-4, respectively.
Respondents No.5 to 9 is opposed integrity of this document Punjab and Haryana High Court CRM-M-13202-2014 [2].to the marriage, as the petitioners had contracted the marriage without their consent.
The petitioners have submitted representation dated 16.04.2014 (Annexure P-5) to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Punjab seeking protection of their lives and liberty at the hands of the private respondents.

After hearing counsel for the petitioners and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the validity of the marriage and the age of the petitioners and keeping in view the binding precedent of the Hon'ble Apex Court in Lata Singh versus State of U.P.and another, 2006(2) SCC (Criminal) 478, the present petition is disposed of with direction to Senior Superintendent of Police, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Punjab- respondent No.2 to look into the said issue and take necessary action in accordance with law.
