This petition has been filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C.for grant of regular bail to the petitioners in case FIR No.64 dated 17.08.2011 under Sections 307, 382, 34 IPC and Section 25 of the Arms Act, registered at Police Station Majitha, District Amritsar Rural.
I have gone through the record and have heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
From the record, I find that as per prosecution version the petitioners were on motorcycle.
They got petrol filled in their motorcycle and on demand of money by the complainant, they shot at him.
MLR showing the fire arm injury on the person of Navdeep Singh complainant, is placed on the record.
Keeping in view the nature and gravity of the offence and in view of the role played by the petitioners by causing fire arm Gulati Vineet 2014.03.28 10:28 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh CRM No.M-9887 of 2014 -2- injuries, I do not find it a fit case where petitioners are entitled to benefit of regular bail.
There is every possibility that they may tamper with the evidence.
Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is dismissed.
However, as the petitioners are in custody since 14.06.2012, therefore, the trial Court is directed to complete the trial within five months from today by giving short dates and even, by adjourning the case on day-to-day basis, if required.
