REKHA MITTAL, J.(ORAL) The petitioner has approached this Court under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (in short 'the Code') seeking reliefs in regard to:- (i) fair investigation in FIR No.7 dated 07.01.2014 registered in Division No.4, Ludhiana City, Ludhiana (Annexure P3).(ii) provide security to the petitioner and her husband namely Surinder Kumar Ohri.
Counsel for the petitioner would submit that he confines his prayer only qua relief No.(ii).It is submitted that the petitioner along with her husband are residing near the house of the parents of their daughter-in- law, Priyanka Sood and the occurrence, pertaining to which FIR No.7 dated 07.01.2014 has been registered, has created a serious apprehension in their mind that their life and liberty is not safe.
Without meaning to express any opinion in regard to Davinder Kumar 2014.03.14 16:16 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CRM-M-8783-2014 2 correctness or otherwise of the allegations raised by the petitioner of her threat perception, the petition stands disposed of.
The petitioner may file a representation to the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana in regard to any threat to their life and liberty within a period 15 days and in case a representation is filed by the petitioner, the same would be considered by the authority concerned and in case any substance is found therein, appropriate steps shall be taken, in accordance with law.
Nothing stated in this order shall be construed as an expression of opinion in regard to allegations set up in the FIR aforesaid.
