Present:- Mr.A.P.Kaushal, Advocate for the petitioner.
*** TEJINDER SINGH DHINDSA.J The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C seeking issuance of directions to respondents no.2 and 3 to take necessary steps for protection of life and liberty of the petitioner as also his family.
Counsel would submit that the petitioner is a Property Dealer and had entered into an agreement to sell as regards a plot situated at Jyoti Nagar, Jalandhar with respondent no.4 on 7.8.2012 and Rs.50,000/- had been paid by respondent no.4 to the petitioner as token amount.
It is stated that respondent no.4 has, thereafter, backed out of the agreement and is insisting on the refund of Rs.80,000/- instead and has threatened him with dire consequences.
Further assertion and allegations made in the petition is that respondent no.4 has close links with respondent no.3 i.e.S.H.O., Police Station, Division No.7, Jalandhar and accordingly, the petitioner is being coerced and pressurized to enter into a compromise and the petitioner as also his family members are being summoned to the police station time and again.
Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner at length and without going into the correctness of the averments made in the petition, I Lucky 2014.03.05 12:47 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document chandigarh CRM No.M-7827 of 2014 (O&M) -2- deem it appropriate to dispose of the present petition, at this stage itself, by granting liberty to the petitioner to approach respondent no.2 i.e.Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar by submitting an application/representation as regards his grievance/apprehension.
In the eventuality of any such application/representation being preferred, respondent no.2 would be obligated to examine the same and thereafter take any such steps as he may deem fit and as warranted strictly in accordance with law.
Petition stands disposed of.
