**** SANJAY KISHAN KAUL C.J.(Oral) We have perused the status reports filed alongwith the bar chart.
Learned counsel for the petitioner states that he has also scrutinized the same and is satisfied with the measures which take into account his suggestions.
It is agreed that the following additional directions be also passed:- i) Both States of Punjab and Haryana and Union Territory, Chandigarh would adhere to the time schedule specified in the bar chart qua various measures and if there is any unforeseen delay on any aspect, they must bring it to the notice of the Court by moving an appropriate application seeking extension of time.
ii) The Public Relation Departments of two States and Union Territory, Chandigarh would sit together to devise the methodologies of public awareness.
A poster issued by the Union Territory, Chandigarh has been placed on record at page No.153 of the paper book.
It is agreed that more innovative designing can be done with pictorials to draw the attention of the public at large.
These methodologies have to be developed by obtaining public opinion and even with the assistance of Sharma Ravinder learned counsel for the petitioner.

There has been undoubtedly steps taken now in the right direction and we are confident that this would continue.
However, in order to maintain the momentum we consider it appropriate that while we dispose of the petition with the directions already passed and passed today, we should at least wait for periodic status reports for some time.
Petition accordingly stands disposed of.
We appreciate the assistance rendered by all the learned counsels for the parties.
List for compliance on 11.04.2014 qua the schedule given by filing necessary affidavits at least three days prior to the next date of hearing with advance copies to learned counsels for the parties.
