The petitioners have approached this Court with the following prayers : " a) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or order or direction directing the respondents 1 to 4 to consider Ext.P1 in accordance with law within a time frame as stipulated by this Hon'ble Court after affording an opportunity of being heard. b) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or order or direction directing the respondents 1 to 4 to set apart Post Graduate Degree/Diploma Seats not exceeding 40% of the total seat available to the service quota candidates as provided Under Section 5(1) of the Act. c) Issue any other orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case." 2. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that, the W.P.(C)No.29069/2013 2 only relief sought for is to cause Ext.P1representation preferred by the petitioners to be considered and disposed of within a reasonable time.
3. Heard the learned Government Pleader as well.
4. Considering the limited extent of relief sought for, this Court does not find it necessary to adjudicate the issue on merits. The writ petition is disposed of, directing the first respondent to consider Ext.P1 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, at the earliest, at any rate within 'one month' from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. The petitioners shall produce a copy of this judgment along with a copy of the writ petition before the first respondent for further steps. P.R.RAMACHANDRA MENON JUDGE sv.
